🚨 Fake SatoshiStreetBets

There are communities and tokens which have stolen our name and therefore confuse people into thinking they are linked to us or are actually us. We are the original and authentic SatoshiStreetBets community. The founder of SatoshiStreetBets (David Gilbert) is the person leading this project. You should exercise extreme caution with any project that is using our name without permission. In particular, any token that is using our name in it is 100% fake.

We own a registered trademark for SatoshiStreetBets and will be enforcing it to protect our community members in the weeks ahead. This is not pending or waiting approval, it has been registered.

History of SatoshiStreetBets

To prove that we are the original SatoshiStreetBets, the below facts can be easily verified:

  1. SatoshiStreetBets was founded on Reddit in Feb 23 2020, the date of which can be seen in the sidebar of our subreddit. We are the original and authentic SatoshiStreetBets community - there were no SatoshiStreetBets communities anywhere online prior to this.

  2. On the exact same day we set up SatoshiStreetBets.com

  3. On the exact same day we made our first tweet on the SatoshiStreetBets Twitter

  4. All activity from fakes occurs a long time after this. A trick we've seen fakes use on Twitter is to switch the usernames of an old account created many years ago to "SSBsomething", to create the illusion they predate us as an SSB entity. Checking the actual historical tweets of any fake SSB accounts will reveal they only started tweeting about SSB a long time after us.
